About Our Laboratory

Our laboratory started in April 2015, when professor Shimoyama joined Aoyama Gakuin University. Our lab. has been looking for breakthroughs through
technologies and hot ideas on materials design, synthesis and evaluations. Out motto is "discovery of new buds with functions", which can be grown by very
simple, versatile and original methods. Currently, most of our research subjects are related to high-Tc superconductors, we are planning to expand our
research fields in a few years.
Some part of our research is supported by collaborations with private companies producing superconducting materials. This is one of the characteristics of our group.
and our results can be reflected in the synthesis procedures of practical materials showing higher performance or new products.
Two faculty staffs, 13 graduate students and 7 undergraduate students are aiming to obtain interesting results having a certain
potential to improve quality of human life in future by highly effective studies with deep thinking and prompt actions.
