講演題目: Cluster transfer matrix method for the single electron transport
要旨:
The single electron transport, particularly the competition between
the Coulomb blockade and the strong tunneling, has recently been a challenging
problem. We will discuss a newly developed method, cluster transfer matrix
method, for the single electron box, the equilibrium case of the single
electron transistor, calculating exactly the average electron number in
the box as a function of temperature, tunnel conductance, and polarization
charge. An attempt to extend the method to non-equilibrium case, i.e. the
calculation of conductance of the ultra-small tunnel junction and the single
electron transistor will also be discussed.
